JOAN SOROLLA

Vaig néixer el 1956 a Terrassa (Barcelona). Tinc estudis de Grau en Magisteri (UAB), Història de l’Art (UB) i Màster en Disseny i Desenvolupament de Sistemes Interactius Multimèdia (UPC).

Començo a treballar professionalment a la fotografia a la revista “POPULAR 1″, com a reporter gràfic en l’àmbit dels concerts de rock i retrats en entrevistes a músics en 1980-82. D’aquesta època són les col · laboracions esporàdiques a “Sal Común” “Rock de Lux” i “Interviú”. Posteriorment centro la meva tasca professional en la docència de la Història de l’Art sense abandonar l’àmbit fotogràfic. No obstant això ha estat des del 2010 que l’he reprès intensament.

I was born in 1956 in Terrassa (Catalonia). I have a Degree in Teaching (UAB), Art History (UB) and Master in Design and Development of Interactive Multimedia Systems (UPC).

I start working professionally in photography in the magazine “POPULAR 1″, in the early 80’s, as a photojournalist in the field of rock concerts and musicians interviews in 1980-82. From this period are sporadic collaborations “Sal Común”, “Rock de Lux” and “Interviu”. After this first period I focused my professional work in teaching art history but without leaving photography. However it has been in the last years -since 2010- that I’ve taken up intensely again.
